To meet the rising demand in dermocosmetic products, the Pierre Fabre group has decided to expand the capabilities of their existing packaging facility in Soual, Tarn.
The extension comes in the form of three almost identical halls comprising the new capabilities for manufacturing, storage and packaging. These halls are linked together by a volume gathering all the support functions. A "hinge" consisting of two galleries connects this complex to the existing factory: Logically this is where the new entrance of the plant is.
The volumetry, the main horizontal lines, the colours and patterned layout of the facades echo the existing composition, creating a new coherent whole. In the south gable, a set of photovoltaic sensors, project towards the highway a strong symbolic image of the environmental approach of the group.
The SOUAL project is the first HEQ (High Environmental Quality) certified factory in France.
