The TAOPU district is part of a quadrilateral with a length of about 2 kilometres, well located in terms of its distance from the centre of Shanghai and currently used as industrial wasteland in relation to storage and logistics activities.
Except for a few operations which will be preserved, the entire site will be rebuilt, step-by-step, to become a business district also housing a large exhibition park.
We offer an organization focused on a vast indoor park giving the district its identity. This park is innervated by a series of «green alleys through which any local resident can walk to leisure areas and services concentrated on the edge of the park in less than fifteen minutes.
The neighbourhood itself is divided into a grid of 300 metres wide capable of absorbing the existing area with flexibility, to the rhythm of successive operations.
The very elaborate edge of the park, is on a European scale. In the background, a seedling of towers refines the tertiary vocation of the district.
