The city of Ningbo is considering the construction of an overpass (2x4 lanes + 2 pedestrian and cycle lanes) to cross the Yong 'Jiang River.
High constraints of height (take-off cone) on the one hand and river gauge on the other hand, lead the building owner to consider the construction of a metal truss bridge, which would become one of the world's longest of this type (crossing: 465 meters).
Our mission is to define the structural principles, to design the main lines and draw the primary and secondary profiles of the bridge.
We off er a refi ned design based on a simplifi ed triangulation and on the use of a minimum number of colossal profi les, made of welded steel caissons.
The overall line is fluid and aerial, the «sky» of the bridge is virtually free of visual obstacles.
The perception is similar to the blueprint.
